Welcome to the Nanomagnetic Biosensors & Devices Group!
Led by Prof. Kai Wu, the Nanomagnetic Biosensors & Devices (NBD) group focuses on the application of magnetic nanomaterials and nanodevices in healthcare, particularly in disease diagnosis and treatment. Our research is inherently interdisciplinary, requiring expertise in diverse fields such as circuitry design, quantum physics, magnetic nanomaterials, chemistry, and immunoassays.
Our current endeavors include (1) Point-of-care medical devices for disease diagnosis and foodborne pathogen detection; (2) Magnetic nanoparticles for biomedical applications, including magnetic hyperthermia therapy, cell separation, magnetic biosensing, and imaging; (3) Magnetic particle imaging for tumor diagnosis and the assessment of drug treatments; and (4) AI-assisted disease diagnosis. We are heroes and sheroes wearing lab coats!
