Welcome to the Nanomagnetic Biosensors & Devices Group!

Led by Prof. Kai Wu, the nanomagnetic biosensors & devices group develops magnetic nanomaterials and biosensors for real-life applications. Our research topics can be categorized into four themes: 1) Magnetic biosensors for healthcare, such as wearable inks for vital signs monitoring, THz magnetic biosensors to document molecule fingerprints, point-of-care (POC) devices for on field tests, and machine learning assisted healthcare; 2) Magnetic imaging such as magnetocardiography (MCG) and small animal tumor imaging; 3) Magnetic nanomaterials and nanodevices for both biomedical applications and neuromorphic computing; 4) Magnetic neuromodulation and recording for the treatment of brain disorders. We are heroes and sheroes wearing lab coats!

The research in our group is interdisciplinary in nature, covering the areas of circuits, magnetic materials, quantum physics, spintronics, nanotechnology, chemistry, and biology. To learn more about our work, please visit the Research page.
