We are excited to share that three research papers from the Wu Lab were published and a new patent application was filed on the same day, highlighting recent progress in our research on magnetic nanoparticles, magnetic imaging systems, and magnetic sensing technologies.

Paper 1

Led by Shahriar Mostufa, this work presents a finite-element simulation framework for designing a 3D MPI system capable of field-free-point scanning within a 20 mm³ field of view.

Paper 2

Led by Ebrahim Azizi, this study introduces a physics-informed approach combining stochastic Langevin modeling and Bayesian optimization to estimate key magnetic nanoparticle parameters from AC magnetization measurements.

Paper 3

Led by Bahareh Rezaei, this review discusses magnetic nanoparticle contrast agents for MRI, including their physical mechanisms, biomedical applications, and challenges for clinical translation.

Patent Filed

Identification of Magnetic Particle Parameters with Hardware Acceleration

U.S. Provisional Patent Application No. 63/998,493

Filed March 6, 2026.
